Everyone knows I am a major miniatures war gaming player and love painting up my armies to make them look shiny on the tabletop. Luckily there are some good suppliers out there for basing materials and All Game Terrain has a plethora of options and they sent over a handful of things for me to check out.

Product Overview:

The below list is only a sampling of All Game Terrain’s product line.

All Game Terrain GlueThe first item is some boulders for an added tactical rock to miniature bases. The second item is a base paint in Earth color to help base tone your bases.

There are 4 items that are specifically made to help adhere and seal the basing. Game-Tac, Magic-Tac, Super Seal, and the spray bottle. Game-Tac is your general PVA glue that will help you glue down most things. Magic-Tac is slightly stickier and can hold those tougher objects. The spray bottle is for the super seal which can seal your basing services and make sure your flocking and elements don’t fall off over time.

The last items were a variety of different basing materials, including the gravel mix, weeds, EZ bushes, base layer soil, sand, and grass. All Game Terrain Minis

Product Experience:

The boulder/tactical rocks are a great quality and a good addition to the basing supply isle. They are packaged well and look and feel hefty. Most importantly they have a great smooth bottom, so you aren’t fighting to get it onto your bases.

The base paint wasn’t awful and is a great quantity to do mass coloring with for a gaming board or a lot of bases. While it is an easy-to-use item it doesn’t have any special effects that some base paints you may get from other companies. The strength of this paint is it is a great color and usable in large quantities, relieving your wallet a little.

All Game Terrain I want to highlight the different basing glues and sealer. This is something that I am going to keep on my hobby table. The Game-Tac glue is a good PVA glue that you can use to attack most items onto your bases. The Magic-Tac glue is going to behave like the PVA glue with a bit more stickiness allowing you to get those shrubs and grasses nice and stuck onto your terrain and bases. The Super Seal really helps once you are done. One problem I have with loose basing material is that it falls off over time. The Super Seal stops that. I took a test mini out for a run at a local tournament and the grass I put on and sealed lasted all day. This and the spray bottle are a must-have.

The different basing materials were a good quality. I was impressed with the EZ bushes having a good mix of different colors and types of bushes. The gravel mixture was good as well and had a solid mix of rock and vegetation. The other flocking and basing materials were okay, but the one criticism I had when using them was that the bags were not resealable, something that other companies provide, so I was a bit more paranoid about spilling them over my workstation.

Final Thoughts:

All Game Terrain is a great addition to the hobby aisle at my local game store. They have a massive variety of glues that have various applications and work well. Their basing supplies are of good quality and variety. This was only a sampling of their product line, and it made me excited to try out some more items down the road with my various projects. The Super Seal is a great idea and product and will have a home on my hobby shelf going forward. My only complaint was not being able to re-seal the different basing materials.

Hits:
• Magic-Tac and Super Seal are great products that do exactly what they say they will.
• The quality of the flocking/basing material is good.
• Pre-done boulders were of a good quality that looked great.

Misses:
• Wish the flocking material (sand, weeds, grass) had a resealable bag.
